Veingogh Treatment

Named after the famous painter Vangogh, this device really makes art. Although our first option in spider veins is always foam treatment. As the vessel diameter becomes smaller, it is not possible to puncture the vessel and it is necessary to intervene from the outside.

At this stage, there are currently 3 options for this purpose:

  • Laser
  • Radiofrequency
  • Veingogh

Although each has minor advantages, they serve for the same purpose. My preference at this stage is the Veingogh and laser (exotherme) device. This device, which you can view on the internet with the same title, is a device designed for use only in capillaries in the face and legs, and it works by making pulses with the heat produced by electrical energy.

ADVANTAGES OF THE VEINGOGH DEVICE

One of the most important advantages of this device is that it can be used in every part of the body. Sclerotherapy is not recommended, especially in areas where the skin is very thin, such as the ankle and the back of the foot, where the adipose tissue is very thin or not at all, due to the side effects that may occur in these areas. Veingogh can be used safely. Liquid or foam sclerotherapy, which we call chemical sclerotherapy, permanent discolorations and browning can be seen in the same areas. There is no such side effects in Veingogh, which treats with thermolysis, that is, only the heat produced by electrical energy. Permanent scar rate is almost negligible.

The most important disadvantage of Veingogh is that it is very time consuming and slightly painful as a result of hundreds of shots. Only small areas can be treated in 5-10 minutes. For this reason, many sessions are required. In patients with very extensive capillaries, performing this treatment in addition to sclerotherapy will prevent both time and high fees due to repetitive sessions. In addition, heat energy is increased in order to be effective on the veins in thick skin areas, which increases the risk and may cause skin burns.

Veingogh is a very successful device with a low complication rate in experienced hands at appropriate doses. Along with patient compliance; In other words, with the use of short-term make-up restriction, sun protection and softeners, the results are very successful and satisfactory.
